A new year and a new project! This year I have the awesome privilege of joining with several other talented photographers from 4 The Love of Focus in a personal project. A personal project that is meant to make us grow, draw out that creativity, stretch ourselves, and have fun creating Art. Fine Art. The idea was created by a wonderful photographer that I have always loved, Nicole Van.
With this project a group of photographers take a picture of something that speaks to them. Something that they might consider fine art. Then once a month we post it on our blog while linking to the other photographers in the group.
Not only am I excited to do the assignment each month, I honestly can not wait to see what all the other wonderful photographers post for their assignment. Feel free to enjoy all of the images by clicking through each post. You can start by visiting my friend Amy Shertzer Photography | Los Angeles, CA
Amy is someone that I have known online for several years and had the privilege of meeting last year at a photographer’s conference. I really enjoyed meeting her face to face and can’t wait until the next time. I am sure you will enjoy her work as much as I do!

love this! the way the eyes pop and the differences in the texture of the wood and his feathers is just beautiful!
Tracy! I love this one. The color and texture of the wood. The lines. Just lovely!
This is fantastic, Tracy!! I’d just be mirroring Kay and Amanda if I said more! LOL I love it though!
Awesome! I love the lines and the eyes on that bird!
Cool shot, Tracy! What’s around the beak?
Thank you ladies! I actually do not know why his beak is like that. It honestly looked like wood that was being shaved off.
That is a great shot! I just can’t look away. . . I love the plump bird and his seemingly smug expression and the natural texture of the wood, framing him nicely. Great shot, Tracy!
I love everything about this! It makes me smile!!
This is fantastic! The grain on the wood, the feathers, the clarity, everything just works perfectly together. I love this!
Great textures in this image! He looks so soft and fluffy sitting on that wood! Love it!

I love this. I love sitting here staring at it. The colors are awesome!
Fantastic shot! The bird’s eye draws you in. Love the colours!
